My mother heard that dogs enjoy the Netflix cartoon about seals so she put it on for Jacques. He did pay it a lot more attention than he normally gives the TV, but not enough to not investigate what’s up in the kitchen

Going with black, with a few layers of purple on top of that. Won’t be obvious but it helps make the black richer, especially on the mahogany bits. Applying the dye revealed spots where glue had soaked into the wood, making some bald spots in the color that will need to addressed.

Sanded it up to 300 grit to prep for finishing. Recharged the neck heel transition slightly. Routed out the bridge pickup cavity and took out the side of it to make installing the pickups easier. (Helps bring down the weight a bit, too.)

The only defect I can find is they got some chip-out when routing the (surprisingly tight) neck pocket, which will need to be fixed with some wood filler.

The fret work and inlays look good, the fingerboard is nicely rounded. There is actually a truss rod inside, which sometimes doesn’t happen with these super cheap Temu guitars. The nut is bone and looks cleanly shaped and slotted.

The body and neck are shockingly well-made. Looks and smells like real maple and walnut, very clean assembly work and CNC-ing with basic rough sanding. The binding is immaculate, even though the look of the material they used is not something I would go for personally.

Hi, I’m an actual expert on this kind of stuff. Couple relevant degrees, a license and everything. What you should do next is get over it, then apologize for whatever you did to make your child do that, and quit doing that so it doesn’t happen again. Hope that helps.
