I wish environmental science conferences were more sustainable ! If the brightest minds in the world continue to carelessly use single-use plastic, why would we expect the rest of the world to change ? Even at a conference with sessions about the harms of plastic to human health!

I really hope this passes and is put into law ASAP. What’s the point of an MPA if you can repeatedly destroy the seabed with trawling? It’s like ploughing a field 6 times a year and then wondering why nothing grows.

You are here. We've breached 430 ppm CO2. #climatechange
Graph of CO2 concentrations for the past 800,000 years from the Antarctic ice cores, showing current CO2 levels of 430 ppm are far, far higher than any level over this period, which never exceeded 300 ppm. Also shown is the emergence of Homo sapiens around 200,000 years ago -- so CO2 levels are higher than we've ever experienced.

Raj M. Lal et al. in #ERL outline that 85% of urban PM2.5 in Indian cities comes from transboundary emissions. To meet the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) targets of reducing PM2.5 by 20-30% by 2024, regional planning is crucial.🌍 Read more: iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1... #AirQuality #NCAP
