Lastly, Bosnia wants many of the things that Kosova does. A strong civic state that is able to effectively deliver for all its people. A strong and dynamic economy. An irreversible statehood. And an integration path that finally leads to NATO and European Union membership. 9/

There was thus a broader Bosnian Genocide, with mass killings having also been conducted against Bosniak civilians in Prijedor, Foča, Višegrad, and Zvornik. Had it not been for the genocide in Bosnia coming before the genocide in Kosova, 🇽🇰 would likely not have gotten as much of the support.. 2/

8,372 Bosniak lives were taken in the Srebrenica genocide conducted by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995, now 31 years ago. The horrific genocide was the worst but not the only genocidal event during the Bosnian war from 1992-1995. 1/

1. The Srebrenica Genocide was only one of the final, most horrific episodes of a broader Bosnian Genocide, perpetrated by said Serb nationalist forces between 1992 and 1995 against the country’s majority Bosniak community.
