I have my own musical carcinization thing going on. Instead of crabs or trains, everything becomes The Hold Steady. I tell Apple Music to play The Mountain Goats, get Sunset Tree, some Tallahassee, then I suddenly end up with several songs from The Hold Steady. Same with any other band I start from.

The Idaho bathroom bill (HB607) is obviously bad for everyone, but it should specifically scare all business owners. If I owned a business with public restrooms, I'd be looking at converting everything to single-user bathrooms and/or having bathroom keys to ensure one person at a time.

I'm always surprised when someone my age or older, especially a politician, acts like ICE has always existed. You should remember when it was formed. It is a post-9/11 agency. You should be able to remember a pre-ICE world. We didn't need it then. We don't need it now.

One minor, but crucial thing in the shooting videos that I haven't seen mentioned. The thug took video of the plate. If he let her drive off and wanted to harass her again, he could have used the plate number to track her down. Abolish ICE, end qualified immunity, and enact strict use-of-force laws.

Remember as you watch George Conway and other GOP folks switch over to run as Dems, that they have not shifted left. The GOP has pushed farther right and a few conservatives have not followed. Do not hold out hope they will shift left. They will drag the party right. Vote accordingly in primaries.
