PC is awesome cuz you'll just be Doing Your Thang for approximately 8 months and then randomly the scariest thing ever happens and then SOMETIMES it's just a fluke and it restarts no problem and mem test is fine and SOMETIMES your multiple hundred dollar equipment is just dead. yea, that's why I said not for every type of player. For me, I've always primarily been a PC gamer and even tho I'm not too competitive, I personally find it hard to go back to 60 as my target, as long as the game supports it and my 3050 can struggle to hit it smoothly. Everyone's different!

im not saying it's going to matter to every type of player, but esports events don't spend their budget on high-end PCs and HFR displays for no reason. Me personally my sweet spot is 120 (on my 165hz monitor) and I can IMMEDIATELY tell between 60, 90 and 120. there are diminishing returns tho

honestly felt a bit icky when i wanted to play N64 Pokemon Snap recently, but no combination of emulator cores or settings could fix some issues I experienced, so i played a PC decomp that listed Claude as a contributor on Github. Ngl tho it was a genuinely solid experience with QoL and all that 🤷
