Started watching Ted Lasso the other day because I've heard so many good things about it. ... why am I now so emotionally invested in a show about a soccer coach? Like, I want to be Ted's best friend, he's so damn wholesome

... I get that reference! (I finally watched Short Circuit and Short Circuit 2 recently - no idea why I'd waited so long to watch them, I would've been obsessed with both movies as a kid)

... how has it been 11 years since Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt came out? Time is weird. 😅 (dang I love this show, though)

FYI: Salvador Dali partnered with Disney in 1945 on an animated short, "Destino," but they only got so far as soundtrack and storyboarding before WWII and financial issues made them backburner the project. In 2000, Roy Disney rediscovered it. It came out in 2003. www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_Tl...

Feeling a litle emotional over the end of the Artemis II mission - everything about the mission was so exciting, awe-inspiring, and wholesome. It gave me some much-needed hope in a dark time. Thank you Reid, Christina, Victor, and Jeremy, for sharing your moon joy with the world.

The Artemis plushie behind the CAPCOM desk at Mission Control has been replaced by an image I drew of Artemis from Sailor Moon in a NASA flight jacket and headset, next to Rise, the ZGI. They both have little name tags, uwu.

There's so much... absolute nonsense, to put it politely, going on in the world. It's exhausting. Depressing. Scary. Nevertheless, I persist. I'm hanging in there, despite everything. I'm making that my act of defiance right now. Instead of letting it all crush me, I keep going. I persist.

As someone who's spent a lot of time training people how to use InDesign, this was a fantastic read - it was fun to get to see features that made their way into InDesign in their original form in PageMaker, and to learn a little about the history of desktop publishing in the process.

It breaks my heart, Starfleet Academy getting canceled before the second season even gets a chance to air. (I mean, I know we'll still see it, but damn.) I'm attached to all the characters in a way I never really felt with other ST shows, and I really wish we could get more than 2 seasons of SFA.

... to be honest, if I ended up next to you on a flight, I'd probably have a brief internal "OMG it's John Scalzi!!!!" moment, politely say hello and ask you about your cats, then spend the rest of the flight zoning out to some Star Trek.
