Feeling a litle emotional over the end of the Artemis II mission - everything about the mission was so exciting, awe-inspiring, and wholesome. It gave me some much-needed hope in a dark time. Thank you Reid, Christina, Victor, and Jeremy, for sharing your moon joy with the world.

Went to see a live stage recording of Merrily We Roll Along last night, and it was *so* damn good. I'm glad Rachel suggested we go see it - the music's been stuck in my head all day, and I'm sitting here listening to the soundtrack instead of watching Star Trek. ❤️

Welp, Will's vet visit itself was largely uneventful - he was well-behaved for the vet and even let the vet and vet tech pick him up. In the car, though, he complained loudly and tried to dig his way out of his crate. Also took his cone off and peed on it and the blanket in his crate. oh buddy.

In other news, got to see the Northern Lights last night with the help of my camera - and I heard they might be even more intense tonight, and visible without camera assistance! Keeping my fingers crossed for that, I love the Northern Lights.

Sushi is such a sweet little dude - I take care of him sometimes when Sage is out of town, and he and his brother Oni are always so excited to see me when I'm there. I really hope he recovers from whatever's going on with him - kitty health issues are scary.

Still, I'm bummed that it's gone. I had fun playing it, and I liked the ability to play with others without needing to go find people like in Words with Friends or other similar games. RIP, Word Hero. You'll definitely be missed. 6/6

Went to the animal shelter today thinking that Lucas and I would look at cats, though we weren't entirely planning on bringing any home... but then I fell in love with these two babies at the shelter, and now I have two cats again! Meet Moira (the black cat) and Will (the tabby cat)!

Just finished scanning a pile of old negatives my sister and I found while we were digging through stuff at our mom's house this past weekend. Going to share some of my favorite old photos over the next few days, but first, a shout-out to the little scanner that made it all possible.

Just got back from a 4-day conference in Denver - and before the conference I had to medicate Hannah for a claw bed infection. Two weeks of pills. It was rough. She hated it. 🥺 Poor girl is hiding from me - I bet she thinks I'm going to try to give her a pill. 😭

Oh my goodness, Pumpkin looks and sounds almost EXACTLY like my old lady Hannah, right down to the "frickin' hates other animals" bit. If Vermont wasn't so far away and if I had a big enough house to separate Pumpkin and Hannah without too much nonsense, I'd adopt her in a heartbeat.

@hannah-bitbit.bsky.social and I rescued each other, especially after my ex-wife (and cat co-parent) passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. Taking care of Hannah kept me going during some very dark times and gave me something good to focus on, and Hannah took care of me too. ❤️

Apparently Paramount+ decided that I really needed to watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in German, with no English audio option... ... guess that means it's time for my winter re-watch of Babylon 5!

Moving and all it entails is friggin' EXHAUSTING. However, seeing my freshly painted office makes me so happy, as does seeing Hannah being brave enough to come out and watch Star Trek with me.

My office in the early stages of being put together. It's a room with light green walls (the paint color is "Hazel"), a set of doors leading outside on one wall, and a large table that serves as a desk up against another wall.
