Took my fat boys out for a spin tonight. Great list, good game.

Some more Old World campaign tonight against Cathay. The dwarfs started strong taking out all the jade warriors but they could not reach the guns, and got munched by the shugengan.

I knew they would eventually start designing abilities that can be used by both a unit on the table, and the actual player at the table.

Finished my Araby Tomb Raiders warband for our upcoming Mordheim campaign.

Im glad we got rid of those immersion breaking objective markers in 40k.

A band of rabid hobgoblins join my Chaos Dwarf forces.

Another Old World Campaign game. Assaulted the Orc castle in a sort of siege game. Ended up in another draw!

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Another cheeky game of Old World last night. Just 1k points vs some orcs. Probably need some more range or different units. A bunch of melee infantry all attacking each other ended in an almost exact draw.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Didn't take any other photos, had a blast. I got outgunned but once I made it across the board I managed to wipe a lot of dwarfs and got a minor victory by about 300 points.

Playing some Old World tonight. 1250 pnts. Chaos Dwarfs vs Normal Dwarfs.

Blunderboys 95% done. Just need to make some banners and get some static grass.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Getting closer to finishing the blunderers, and made a start on the centaurs.

Chaos Dwarf highlighting update. Just like their movement speed, it's slow but steady.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

Working on my first three lads, happy with how they are coming on. And completed the skin and eyes of the other blunderers.

Got the basing all finished last night. Priming and some basecoats hopefully today.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Played my first game of Old World tonight. Local club had a narrative campaign so we had a mega 5v5 battle for the intro. The chaos dwarfs had to join with the Cathay pirates and some non chaos dwarfs, in order to take on the greenskin, demon and ogre hordes.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Building some bases for my chaos dwarfs. First time in 4 years not making/painting the same skaven scheme.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

My new chaos dwarf project arrived today. Got a lot of it cleaned and assembled so far. Need to get some stuff to build the banners next.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Expanding the skaven beyond the battletome with some new RoRs, but couldn't not make them out of rats.

0110

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 03/04/2026

Solid progress today. Got all the edges cleaned up, brick borders placed and some of the mud added.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

Took about 2h all up. Not too bad for a whole armies worth.

Deciding to make custom bases for my skaven is a decision I made years ago, with devastating consequences. Like today's task of new bases for the next underempire expansion:

I'm Locky. Originally from New Zealand, but now I live in Germany. I play Skaven and love painting big gross rat boys.

Wife got me a commissioned custom art piece for my birthday, combining my love for skaven and metal. Artist absolutely killed the assignment. Can't wait to hang this in my office.

The year 2000 I was riding a school bus and an older kid was reading his 40k 3d ed rulebook. I loved the look of the tyranid models, so he took me after school to go buy some. The local GW was out of stock on nids, and instead of leaving empty handed I bought this box instead. A classic.

I ended up getting 6th/192 place at Raccon Rumble '24. Went in wanting to go 3-3 hopefully 4-2, but to get a 5-1 and end in top 10 was beyond my expectations. Really happy with my play and the army, and was awesome to have 6 clean exciting games against 6 awesome dudes.

1100

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

Round 6. I dodged the minefield of bad matchups and paired into Johannes' kruleboyz. A game of dice that could go either way.A lot went in my favor though, and I ended up taking the final game 18-2.

140

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

Round 5. Played an explosive game against Marcels stormcast. He full sent turn 1 but the rats held on and then annihilated the golden lads in return for a big 17-3 win.

030

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

Round 3 we flew too close to the sun. Playing reigning champion Dario and his OBR. Good game but obr on the vice was too much for the rats to handle. 4-16 loss. Another beer time and we can bounce back.

030

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

Round 2. Played the absolute champ Wippo with his archaon. Super tight game but the rats clinched it 12-8.

040

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 08/11/2024

And my army for Racoon Rumble 24. Super happy with the final models but it's some serious competition for painting here.

0142

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 08/11/2024

We got the big 18-2 win against a lovely Seraphon army piloted by Daniel. Looking forward to tomorrow's games. Also I learnt I can't take selfies.
