Some more Old World campaign tonight against Cathay. The dwarfs started strong taking out all the jade warriors but they could not reach the guns, and got munched by the shugengan.

I knew they would eventually start designing abilities that can be used by both a unit on the table, and the actual player at the table.

Finished my Araby Tomb Raiders warband for our upcoming Mordheim campaign.

Played another game of Old World last night.

I did in fact, only remember about rage dice twice over the 3 games.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

First AoS event of the new ghb tomorrow. Ready to roll some dice, and forget about rage mechanics.

Im glad we got rid of those immersion breaking objective markers in 40k.

Another Old World Campaign game. Assaulted the Orc castle in a sort of siege game. Ended up in another draw!

These must be the spicy aqshy scrolls for people who find pepper spicy.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Another cheeky game of Old World last night. Just 1k points vs some orcs. Probably need some more range or different units. A bunch of melee infantry all attacking each other ended in an almost exact draw.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Playing some Old World tonight. 1250 pnts. Chaos Dwarfs vs Normal Dwarfs.

@russellcroweaos.bsky.social bro, the tips for painting yellow from your stream were a big game changer this week. Helped me break a hobby block I was struggling with. Can't wait for the videos!

Blunderboys 95% done. Just need to make some banners and get some static grass.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Getting closer to finishing the blunderers, and made a start on the centaurs.

Chaos Dwarf highlighting update. Just like their movement speed, it's slow but steady.

092

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

Working on my first three lads, happy with how they are coming on. And completed the skin and eyes of the other blunderers.

Got the basing all finished last night. Priming and some basecoats hopefully today.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Played my first game of Old World tonight. Local club had a narrative campaign so we had a mega 5v5 battle for the intro. The chaos dwarfs had to join with the Cathay pirates and some non chaos dwarfs, in order to take on the greenskin, demon and ogre hordes.

072

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Building some bases for my chaos dwarfs. First time in 4 years not making/painting the same skaven scheme.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

My new chaos dwarf project arrived today. Got a lot of it cleaned and assembled so far. Need to get some stuff to build the banners next.

Seller on etsy I bought some figs from this week messaged me saying that he appreciated the large order, and noticed that I didnt add a command group for one of the units, and was going to add them in for free in addition. Now that's customer service.

010

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

Had some money saved up for the new eshin stuff. But a combination of hard to get boxes to split, the new rules that I don't like, and that I could just rebase my current ones, meant I spent that money on a 500pnt old world army instead.

010

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Expanding the skaven beyond the battletome with some new RoRs, but couldn't not make them out of rats.

0110

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 03/04/2026

Solid progress today. Got all the edges cleaned up, brick borders placed and some of the mud added.

150

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

Deciding to make custom bases for my skaven is a decision I made years ago, with devastating consequences. Like today's task of new bases for the next underempire expansion:

@sixdiceskills.bsky.social you got any 'I live in Nottingham and it's definitely not insider info' info about a tomb king refresh this year mate? Interested in grabbing some but I hear there's new infantry and chariots maybe coming which is the bulk of the current box sets.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 26/03/2026

If you're taking these AoS rumors at face value, just remember that 9th edition 40k was rumored to have all models in a unit be on single giant diorama style base. Solely because of the St Catherine sisters model existed.

Locky Reid @dreaded13th.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

First unit finished in a long time. 40 new plague monks join the horde.

Damn we really went from 0 interesting skaven lists to play, to 4 that I want to try out immediately.

@jacobgeller.com I remember you had a video sometime in the last couple of years that had a section about Stellar Blade's space elevator. But I'm having a hard time finding it. Do you remember which video its from, if you talked about it at all?

Fun little 3 game 1 dayer in Düsseldorf today. Had a blast playing Thanquols AoR. Nothing but fat rats and meat. Went 2-1 with the boys. Great way to cap off the warhammer year.

The year 2000 I was riding a school bus and an older kid was reading his 40k 3d ed rulebook. I loved the look of the tyranid models, so he took me after school to go buy some. The local GW was out of stock on nids, and instead of leaving empty handed I bought this box instead. A classic.

I ended up getting 6th/192 place at Raccon Rumble '24. Went in wanting to go 3-3 hopefully 4-2, but to get a 5-1 and end in top 10 was beyond my expectations. Really happy with my play and the army, and was awesome to have 6 clean exciting games against 6 awesome dudes.

Round 6. I dodged the minefield of bad matchups and paired into Johannes' kruleboyz. A game of dice that could go either way.A lot went in my favor though, and I ended up taking the final game 18-2.
