Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I see, does that help with tone and opacity? It is a while since I did hanga prints, switched to Lino as easier on the time and cost. Here is one of my last hanga prints. 100
Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Love that. Japanese printmaking is such a hard skill to learn so much to do in terms of process. Do you use nori to adhere the homemade inks? 110

Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Starmer is so odd: Ambitious but Ambivalent. Follows Blair, Cameron and Johnson in bailing out. Harold Wilson stayed on as MP all the way to 1983 Jim Callaghan stood down as MP in 1987. Heath in 2001 37 years after losing Premiership. So much for public service. 000
Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Also is Raymond Huntley, not ‘and introducing’ but sliding doors. He was the original theatre Dracula. He could have been the first proper cinema Count. But his rival Bela Lugosi did. Just think how different Goth Music would have been if Bauhaus had sang ‘Raymond Huntley’s Dead!’ 010
Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Great episode as ever. But, you missed Leslie Dwyer in ‘and introducing’ as Mr Partridge the Punch and Judy man in Hi-Di-Hi, that is Adrian Mole’s Dad territory. Also tut tut for a Parliamentary sketch writer missing that Jimmie Handley was father of former Tory chairman Jeremy Handley. 010
Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Great update on previous WTDW podcast from back in the day. Looking forward to ‘The Way Ahead’. You will need to have a new category: ‘Was this the film that changed the course of Goth Music?’ Clue: read about the career of Raymond Huntley. 020

Cliff Williamson @drcliffy.bsky.social · 08/07/2026You can argue that George was also ill served by the systems failings. He passed the 11plus and was sent to Liverpool Institute a Grammar intended to set pupils up for university. He never had a desire for that. As he said all they want to do with is ‘to turn everybody into rows of little toffees.’ 010
