There are only 2 sexes & there can never be more. This isn't a matter of cultural convention, social belief, or political preference. Sex is not defined by one’s identity, social role,... chromosomes or genitalia... Sex is defined by gametes." doi.org/10.1007/s105... #SexMatters #ScienceMatters

Green Party Women were denied a stall at the party's conference in Brighton and had to meet outside. Anyone would think that those who ostracised them were afraid of the truth about sex and gender. The Greens aren't the only party to have denied women a platform. It's all rather childish.

German chemist Dr. Ida Noddack co-discovered Rhenium (element 75) in 1925. She died #OTD in 1978. She was the first to propose the concept of nuclear fission (1934). Her theory was met with fierce skepticism and outright dismissed by contemporary physics giants. But 4 years later...🧵 #WomenInSTEM
A close-up, black-and-white portrait of Dr. Ida Noddack (1896–1978), the pioneering German chemist and physicist who co-discovered the chemical element rhenium and was the first to propose the concept of nuclear fission in 1934. Dr. Noddack is positioned at a slight three-quarter angle while turning her face toward the camera, establishing a direct connection with the viewer. Her light-colored hair is styled neatly, swept up and away from her face in a soft, textured wave arrangement typical of the mid-20th century. Her expression is composed and contemplative, marked by a subtle, knowing half-smile that conveys an aura of quiet confidence, intelligence, and academic resolve. She wears a simple, dark-toned V-neck blouse or jacket, drawing focus directly to her facial features. The portrait is set against a completely dark, minimalist background devoid of any objects or setting context, creating a formal studio aesthetic. The lighting is soft yet deliberate, illuminating the left side of her face to emphasize her expression while casting gentle shadows across her right cheek. The composition relies on high-contrast monochromatic tones and a grainy, vintage texture characteristic of early photographic film, reinforcing its archival and historic nature. The overall mood is dignified and deeply intellectual, honoring her enduring legacy as a foundational pioneer of nuclear and atomic science.

The Listener magazine publishes a puberty blockers’ article that cites errors of logic.
Some medical professionals seem to revert to faulty logic in their advocacy of puberty blockers.

Two years ago, I joined the Tairāwhiti Ngutukākā Trust to celebrate one of NZ's rarest plants in the wild (as rare as kākāpō). Each of us was gifted a few seeds (from the wild plants, not the commercial variety), and this is what happened in my tiny urban garden.
Ngutukākā grown from a seed, now in full flower.

Calculator's are for doing sums you can't do easily in your head. Like calculating how many grams of ammonium acetate you need to add to 150 mL water to get a 200 mM solution.

At a certain level, once you have already demonstrated your capacity for mental arithmetic, yes. This was an NZ Common Assessment Activity exam. The most basic assessment for 16yr olds. I do not expect them to be allowed calculators for the maths exam or spell checkers for the english writing exam.

This is a good response, thank you. I think that there's a significant gap between the people who want to see ICE kidnap immigrants and those who wanted a middle ground where men weren't women, the economy was grown, wars weren't started and white people weren't told they were racist.
