Really, really terrible visualisation. The main reason being that the "dots" actually cover an area. As a low-ball guess let's say 2 km^2 (slightly less than the City of London). 12m ppl are represented by 120k dots. That's 242,000 km^2 = size of the entire UK. This is called manipulation.

When the story of why humanity didn't stop climate change is written, it will feature front pages like this. Even as the skies blacken with climate change-induced wildfires, right wing media continue their relentless crusade against measures to tackle it.
The Times: Net zero risks blackouts. Below a photo of French wildfires.

How are things in Belfast? Are the people with Legitimate Concerns about paedophilia attacking unionist politicians’ homes in response to the Donaldson verdict? They aren’t? How strange. Their Concerns seemed so Legitimate when they were burning foreigners out of their homes a few weeks back.

A dynamic new strategy would allow the BBC to redefine what trusted news means as it is still valued highly in this age of anxiety, says Guardian columnist Jane Martinson

Agree. If this was a natural disaster the government would automatically step in. Universities are public institutions and societal assets, so why isn't the Holyrood government standing shoulder to shoulder with the staff and students in Dundee? Tutting from the sidelines is a dismal betrayal.

This needs to be shouted from rooftops all over the world! 📢 We have the possibility to eliminate a cancer with vaccines. How amazing is that?! No surgery, no chemo, no need to "live with", far less screening. This is a huge success of medical science and population health 👏

It's a great to acknowledge England Women's 500th international game. In that time they've been double European champions and World cup finalists. What is amazing is that Lucy Bronze, with her 146th cap today, has played in 29% of all games. Truly phenomenal! #ISLENG
