My genuine hope for Resident Evil 10 is that it's smaller in scale. Having recently replayed RE2make, there's so much they could do that they can't do in the more expansive titles. Like Mr X's consistent presence and convincing behavior, hyper-specific sound design, super detailed enemy physics, etc

RESIDENT EVIL 2026 SPOILERS It's so cool that the movie is essentially a boss monster's origin story. RE has always been great at recognizing its monsters' former humanity, look at William Birkin and Lisa Trevor, so a movie following a character up until that point feels true to the series' ethos.
