Talk 2 ends with a plea for information! Those of you in local societies - look through your archives & find women who have contributed to your area's heritage. Since publishing in CA 427 Tatiana and Rebecca have already received info about female archaeologists - but we need to find more! #CALive26

Just remember it is a hagiography and comes with a health warning, as with all attempts to fit archaeology to 'history' (& it isn't a history, it is a biography) but have fun!

Rebecca Jones @drbecjones.bsky.social · 24/01/2025
You can fit it to Tacitus but we know they were campaigning after Agricola (& indeed before in southern Scotland)
110
Rebecca Jones @drbecjones.bsky.social · 24/01/2025
Trying to tie things specifically to Agricola is challenging but I assume you are familiar with Bill Hanson's Agricola & the conquest of the north and also look at Birgitta Hoffmann's archaeology vs history volume. Both good on the difficulties!

People tend to operate by time period on those (e.g. Flavian), so I can't think of anything that covers all of them. But worth looking at Canmore which is the online database run by Historic Environment Scotland
