Ha ha you oiks! We Conservatives are BACK! Well done Tory Chairman Kevin Hollinrake. He should have brought on an Eton tie, a dead pheasant, a wax jacket, a book by Jeffery Archer & a photo of Maggie. We are so kicking arse. Suck it up (As Dean my paperboy says)! 🤪🇬🇧

I’ve got all the programmes, tickets & badges filed away somewhere. I loved our time in the NWCL.. some memorable moments & great memories. Blackpool Mechanics away was a great day out & many many others.

I’ve seen well over a hundred games at the NWCL level of football. Saw FC United’s first two seasons at that level, also many games at New Mills & Daisy Hill. I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Many beers, lots of food & amazing banter..It’s grassroots & strangely addictive.

Should Manchester City get demoted I imagine they’d start off in the North West Counties League Division One (North).. big derby games with Maine Road, Flixton & local Lancashire games with Darwen, Colne & Daisy Hill..see current league table below. There are so many local derby’s to enjoy here..

With the City scandal still unfolding..it makes me wonder who else has been paid off with Arab money? There are certain high profile tv pundits/journalists who have made bewildering & non-sensible statements about City’s competitors. Were they rewarded for keeping the spotlight away from the Etihad?

drawski5.bsky.social @drawski5.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
Have Gary Neville & Roy Keane got anything to say about Manchester Citys alleged corruption or are they still obsessed with criticising Carrick & United? I honestly wonder if certain high profile pundits have also been paid off with oil money..nothing to see at the Etihad..💰💰💰

Far more than I expected. Regardless of appeals, regardless of sanctions dished out, the words Manchester City and Guilty (bar one! charge) is as damning as anything. They’ll go on to win more trophies (in the near future or far) but they’ll forever now be tainted with those words. About time!

Totally agree. The atmosphere at most grounds nowadays is fairly tepid & indifferent.. at these grounds, alcohol in the stands might actually add to the atmosphere somewhat to loosen the vocal cords. However there are still a handful of grudge games where alcohol might cause problems.

That’s true.. Drinking is allowed at my local non league club .. Bury FC without many problems. The crowds are around 3500 with very few away fans. I watched FC United weekly for around 10 years & they were well known for ‘social drinking’…90% good natured but with a few occasional flare ups.

So Joshua v Fury has been confirmed for 11th December..🤔 This would’ve been a huge event 10 years ago but both boxers are well past their best. There’s a lot of very dubious characters in professional boxing with many fights looking fixed. I used to watch every week but it’s become like wrestling..

Re alcohol at football.. it SHOULD certainly be allowed BUT British people have a problem with alcohol compared to the Rest of the World..a few drinks & a huge % of them want to fight. So at football we can’t have a blanket YES.. it all depends on category of game..but who decides Category A or Z🤔

Fans complaining about the international break (I agree)...BUT why don’t we bring back the Home Internationals? England, Scotland, Wales & N Ireland competing annually in a mini league. Every game is a competitive derby match. I loved watching the Scotland England games.

She’s of the same opinion. She feels like he’s kept the secret formula to himself (so his success will NEVER be matched) similarly in a way to Neville & Keane. They were lucky to work with Fergie..they don’t want any United team to succeed so they can gloat.. will never be as good as we were.

Brighton loss due to team selection Darlow (debut) Heaven & Yoro (CBs) Rarely start & never together. Santos & Tielmans (First time together) Mount (Never starts) NO Mainoo or Bruno (Mistake) Sesko (Not fit & alone up front) Lacey (First start & good game) I had a bet on Brighton when I saw line-up!

My wife doesn’t know a great deal about football but she’s been with me through the Fergie era & all managers post Fergie..One thing she always asks..If Fergie was the best manager in history..why didn’t he pass on his extensive managerial knowledge to his replacements..?🤔

I didn’t read a full article just saw some posts on insta. I think we got done by Hull, were unlucky against everton - that goal was mad. Should’ve done more vs city and having seen Brighton batter Arsenal - they are pretty good. By Fulham the confidence is eroded. Plus that OG was awful.

there is no correlation between these and winning. It is more showing style of play than lack of effort

United should look how a team like Everton (under David Moyes) compete every week. They’re NOT a great football team but they show effort & desire for the whole game. What they lack in ability they make up with blood, sweat & tears. HARD WORK needed for the whole game.

Luke Shaw epitomises this current United team..comfortable & competent but much too lethargic to be a success. Good solid player but doesn’t have any urgency whatsoever.

drawski5.bsky.social @drawski5.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
United’s biggest problem (AS ALWAYS) is breaking down a six man defence when they need a goal. All the possession but no subtle passes to unlock the defence. Rashford had 3/4 good chances & we really should’ve won but not too disappointed.

drawski5.bsky.social @drawski5.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
United VERY unlucky not to win that game.. Im Not too disappointed with the performance (AFTER they went behind) Bruno still not at his best but definitely deserved a draw. Should’ve had a penalty & hit the post twice..Need that urgency for 90 minutes & NOT when they go a goal down.

The damning thing about this United display is that they’re clearly the better side when they actually put some effort in. But it all happens in fits and starts. They attack, sprint, harry, press when they’ve caught their breath and it suits them. There’s nothing sustained about anything they do.

United are still looking lethargic. Fulham aren’t the best team but United being harassed & closed down all over the pitch. Cunha & Bruno unlucky not to score but not playing with any confidence or swagger.

Fulham away.. not an easy game. Craven Cottage is one of those small grounds where the home fans are right on top of the players. Remember Bruno getting verbally abused last year & then missed a penalty. No room to play expansive football so we need to outwork & outrun the opposition. (2-2 draw🤔)

I think the level of reporting we are getting nowadays on school aged players is very much bordering on unethical. There is no need for it, especially if they have yet to feature for the senior team.
