Don't interact with the AI chat bot. You will never get your time back ever again. I'm not saying this because this happened to me. I don't use AI. This is just a wise word of advice from one person to another lol

The Shadow magazine, cover dated September 15, 1939. This issue featured the first appearance of the Shadow’s archenemy, Shiwan Khan. Cover art by Graves Gladney. And yeah, it leaned heavily into the “Yellow Peril” trope still common in the early to mid 20th century.

The cover shows Shiwan Khan sitting menacingly in a chair.

Splash Page of the Day Daredevil #181 Pencils by Frank Miller, inks and colours by Klaus Janson. Miller certainly knew how to grab the reader's attention! His run on Daredevil is legendary, for good reason. He took a struggling book and made it a must-read, hugely popular title.

A full page illustration of Daredevil getting shot in the head, as seen through a sniper's scope.

BLAM. You're dead.

Maybe that's how I'll do it. Just get you in my sights and blow your brains out. Nah. That'd be too quick.

Art Davis was another incredibly talented director at WB who never got the chance to shine more as his unit got the axe due to studio budget issues. Art had been in the biz since the silent era and was a pro at fast paced gags and fluidity, as seen here in Catch as Cats Can.

Having a real job does suck a lot. However and I think I said this before but who cares lol. It pays my bills, helps with the supplies, and pays for the car I just bought. Yeah it's still a drag but it's a great motivation mechanism to keep me at the drawing board. It's not much but it's something.

People who choose AI as their creative output: - hate people and having to work with them - are all hat and no cattle, which is to say, they have "ideas" but don't want to even learn the work to implement them - hate the craft itself, and care only about content, about product, about "end results"

The Spirit from February 22, 1942. Art by Will Eisner & letters by Sam Rosen. As noted in The Outer Space Spirit collection, this Spirit page inspired the accompanying drawing by a 15 year old Wally Wood.

A man stands near a street lamp on a corner at night. He is leaning on a wall, mostly obscured by shadow, but his feet are in the light. Paper scraps on the ground form “The Spirit” with a small piece of paper below that reads “by Will Eisner.”

A black and white drawing of a very similar street lamp on a corner but without the paper or person.
