I have just finished reading what the author considers the climax of book 2, and frankly an entire series of four books. 87 chapters to reach Stubborn Lovers, Hardest Words I have shed so many tears. Found Lyra's struggles to speak about her abuse match my own. I love this book so much.

I found Jill's anger again. I... first found catharsis writing Jill deciding to escalate to violence in response to unacceptable posturing. A lot of her anger came from rising transphobia in our world and I've since moved her to a fantasy setting. It's nice to find and feel her fury again.
