My writing sits front and center for No Love Zero this time. There are no fancy setpieces or action scenes. It's all drama. This will be time of judgement for you towards me

No Love Zero is almost done... I can taste it

Before No Love Zero comes out, Sweet Home is required reading. It's your homework assignment

I beat Sweet Home and am a much richer person now than before. There's never going to be another story like this, about life and fate and how being granted those two things can be something you wish you were never granted. A story about fatalism that screams to my heart with so much clarity.

This game is a coming of age story for people born after the year 2000, and I think about how there was another coming of age game that came out this year that was set in the 90s and it was so lighthearted compared to this. Conclusion: being born after the year 2000 is absolute hell

Sweet Home was recently translated, and this is genuinely one of the most stressful visual novels I've ever played. Tailtone Games seem to publish games with one theme in common: life's a total bitch. I wanted to continue playing, but it got so stressful I had to stop. It's like watching Uncut Gems

Sprawl Zero is out. By the way, LAETA in the game is voiced by Tasch Ritter, who is also Hannah's voice actor. I played the demo and I was like hmmm... wait a minute. It's pretty cool. Go play it

This book is honestly more useful to you if you like PVP multiplayer games than it is for business management. All that stuff about winning one battle means winning ten is pretty useful if you're actually legitimately fighting another human being

I personally don't care if No Love gets no views or gets a lot, or if some industry deity sees it or if they don't, or if it gets age restricted or if it doesn't, or if it gets picked up by the algorithm or if it doesn't. As long as it gets made, that's all that matters to me

I know that professionally, I am an animator, but to be honest, I'd be interested to be a writer for other projects too. Just that nobody really think to approach me for that, for obvious reasons. I wonder if No Love can be a stepping stone for that?

I'm quite happy with the sheer amount of stuff I got to cram into this next episode. There's a good balance of everything and so many ways to read and interpret it, at least from what the people who have seen it so far have said. I don't think it's an experience comparable to anything

I'm reading Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings and I feel like he's fucking with me. There's a lot of swordfighting techniques he mentions in this book and then he goes "I will not go into detail" or "I will teach you this in person." Then he dies. We'll never find out what that means

One of my favorite yuri manga cliches is when the two girls are on a date and one of them stumbles upon her evil ex. They never mind their own business, they always walk up and say some bullshit lol

I had the opportunity to work on this title for the past few years. It's looking quite exciting!

What amuses me about Kingdom Hearts 4 is the fact that there's very little Disney this time around besides like one movie, because Disney hasn't done anything significant for animation as a whole since Coco. Only thing they been doing was live action remakes of their old cartoons

using the gun belt as a leverage to rack the pistol slide looks absolutely insane for like two frames

I finished the main story for Strangers of Paradise. It seriously has the best use of a needle drop I've ever heard in all my life playing video games, lol. Using My Way is both so funny and so beautiful at the same time, and that's how I'd describe the game overall

3843

atelier @arainydancer.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Stranger of Paradise feels like a game that just came out wrong. Like they built this thing in a lab to achieve something but once it was released from a vial it underwent a mutation like the T virus. It's great but like, I feel like none of this game's insanity is intentional

when the femme fatale starts talking about wanting to run away with you somewhere far away, where nobody knows the two of you... It's too late for you

It seems like total hell to be a kid on the internet now. When I was growing up I just watched The GMod Idiot Box, Jerma, and stick fights. Now you have Discord servers and come out of it a weird form of neo-nazi nobody has ever seen before in history, and god knows what happens next

No Love 2 is 30 minutes long. I just watched the first edit and it kinda blows the first one out of the water. I had to rewrite so much, but it has that perfect blend of crime and drama. I can't wait to finish this up!

atelier @arainydancer.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

No Love 2 is animation complete!! Can you believe it?! Now it's time for the finalization process- clean up environment art and polishing animation and rendering all of that. It would be amazing if we can all watch this before the year ends!!

Kavinsky's passing urged me to give Drive another watch, so I did. It's kinda crazy to think about making a movie where the protagonist's past-time is just driving cars alllll night, like imagine doing that now with the gas prices. You'd be broke so quickly

TV news channels are kind of like doomscrolling for old people. I got to tune in into one yesterday and it was like war, war, old people with dementia dying, "WHAT IF YOU DIE TOMORROW," more war, energy crisis, natural disasters, old people suffering from a stroke. Imagine being old watching that

I think eventually, close to the release of the next No Love episode (or maybe even at the same time) I will reupload No Love 1/2 that censors the nudity so that people don't have to do an age verification process to watch it. We'll see for now

Animating someone walking slowly and quietly around someone, and was wondering how it should look, so I did a slow and quiet walk and then my knee cracked. Not so quiet now

One of the common ideological grounds of homophobia in Indonesia is the idea that queer people will bring about the end of the world. It sounds actually kinda badass on our side, but come on, that's giving us too much credit...

I showed my girlfriend how Tom Cruise looks in Digger and she said "why didn't they cast an actual old person for that character?" and it is hard to believe that the guy is 64 years old. He IS old

Vigilante groups are now prowling the night attacking women they believe might be trans, and posting the footage to social media that receives millions of views and encouragement. Quite the vile country. They need to open up the schools again, these kids have nothing to do during break lol

If you are a freelancer/contractor and you're like older than 21, you need to raise your rates a bit more JUST to pay for your own benefits like insurance on your own, because you will start seeing medical emergencies even if your life is uneventful and boring

atelier @arainydancer.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

The actual real argument to be made about the tonal shift of the 1995 movie compared to the manga is that the movie is 1 hour and 26 minutes long so they had to pick one theme out of the dozens the manga discusses. The new anime can afford to be comedic because it has the runtime to back it up

61317

Movies shot on film right now looks better than digital I think simply because directors and DPs like how film looks, so they don't demolish their footage with post processing the way they do with digital. I think that's really it
