Detect Spells are just looking for Key-ness, or Magic-ness, or Person-Ness
Soultrap is putting a cruel little edit into the death script. Instead of your soul going to the afterlife, go to this rock.
Telekinesis just edits the range at which you can Touch Things.

the thing about SCORN is whether you like it or not depends a lot on how much you're okay with a game that not only is mysterious but, like, actively refuses to tell you stuff. It's one of the most opaque fascinating game works I've ever explored, I love it so much there should be hours of lore vids

So, it's less "can I manage this resource over the whole combat" and more "can I manage this resources per round" - but then you have a between encounter resource...like, maybe each battle ticks up your Fatigue, which slowly mounts on you until you need eppiness, or something.

Unconventional spells has a much wider range of effects, with a system for combining effect, duration and narrative consequences, so you can invent a WIDE range of spells. The fourth is that stamina and magicka regenerate in combat and are smaller pools.

So, rather than having a Novice Firebolt to Grandmaster Firebolt (which makes Firebolt feel very unintersting to me), you instead have Firebolt, which is an X level spell, doing Y thing. Then have a wide range of pre-created spells THEN Have a system for making unconventional spells.

the first is fixed with dice pools, more action points and more types of actions, ditch health for wounds (like from The Old World). The second just requires a comprehensive rewrite on perks The third: standard spells aren't leveled, but rather, leveled and segmented.
