Sink in the Black or Baltic Seas and there's a good chance much of a wreck will be preserved. Sink in the Mediterranean and if you're lucky we'll find the ram and the less perishable cargo. 51227

One solution tried by the Italians was government theie ironclads 'hangars' aft to carry them into battle. Didn't catch on, but it was a nice idea. #NavalHistory 813218
