David Quainton @dqstuff.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yeah, but I love the idea that there are people who will genuinely think that, I dunno, Kazuo Ishiguro will watch this and think ‘could I have made Never Let Me Go more sad’? Or Cormac McCarthy will burn all his copies of The Road and throw his laptop into the sea. 060

David Quainton @dqstuff.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Given he’s been the mouthpiece of the City PR, one could read Samuel writing this highlights a pivot from ‘we done nuffin wrong’ to ‘the rules were bad in the first place’. It’s a better argument from a comms point of view. Would also suggest City have little confidence in winning the appeal. 130

David Quainton @dqstuff.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I think head-to-head, incident-free, Pidcock wins that race tbh. To chase back on and still attack as much as he did - that’s harder than Jorg’s day IMHO. All speculation obvs, not saying you’re wrong. 😊 180
