Dylan Piercey @dpiercey.me · 13/09/2026Since AI generated prose is great at fluffing up text it can take more time to read, which can be all the more frustrating when you find effort wasn't taken to ensure quality and correctness. 040
Dylan Piercey @dpiercey.me · 13/09/2026> even though I put in the effort to fully understand the code This is the key IMO. Previously the working code was a sign that the effort was taken, now its not. AI generated text of any kind is fine but it's hard to tell if the effort was taken to ensure accuracy and quality. 120

Dylan Piercey @dpiercey.me · 10/08/2026marko definitely can have effects 😅. What you are seeing is marko's render batching which works in unison with the browsers native scheduler. tldr if you update state from an effect that update is batched until the browser has finished painting anything already comited. 120

Dylan Piercey @dpiercey.me · 20/11/2024My experience is devs accept subtly incorrect code from a gpt when otherwise they'd learn how to do something and how it works. I imagine this a net negative with more buggy software and less actual learning. Only way I see out of this is if the LLMs get good enough to output correct code. 280

Dylan Piercey @dpiercey.me · 12/11/2024Philosophically I am all for tabs and I'd support this decision. Practically I'm against going against what's standard in the JS ecosystem. Although I do very much wish JavaScript chose snake_case 😂 230
