only 118? I swear it felt like 300 episodes

000

I did hear, I was hoping to catch up before the season end, but that seems like a tall task to finish Wano and get through all of Egghead

100

but anyway, I love this show so much, even if the pacing is a bit off in some arcs (looking at you, Dressrosa) and it's going to be so weird going from binging it to waiting for weekly releases in seasons in the Elbaph arc.

so, for those of you who weren't here last year, I've been watching One Piece start to finish since February 2025. I'm finally like, 25 episodes from the end of Wano, which puts me at about 100 episodes until I'm caught up, which is less than one Hunter x Hunter watch (HxH also one of my faves, btw)

hey, so, there's like, sooooo many valid reasons to dislike Tim Horton's. but getting racist about it in your first sentence is like, kinda cringe?

cool, so, I know Apple is a horrible company, but does Siri still like, work? cause in less than a month my Android Auto is going to be functionally useless and probably start hallucinating addresses/places when I try to go somewhere new.

yo, who put the Hollywood Desert filter over Northern Ontario?

a picture of a college in Northern Ontario with no filters on it, but it is discoloured by the wildfires to the point where it looks like a Hollywood representation of a desert country

anyway, I'm really curious what the future of games retail looks like once Sony and Microsoft stop selling games to customers. you think Sony/Microsoft will try lawsuits about being "excluded" from retail spaces even though they have no products there anymore?

010

what do Xbox and PS have after this? giving a 3 month code for GamePass? PS gift cards? honestly I'd rather get like, a fun sweater as a gift than a card with a code for a digital product inside.

100

like, mock game key cards all you want, at least there's actually a card in the box? it's basically an unsellable collectable once the code is redeemed, but at least there's a way to give a game to someone as a gift at like a bday party, Christmas, etc and key cards aren't all of the Nintendo games

so, what happens to stores like EB Games now that PlayStation is discontinuing physical games? will they just stop selling Sony products other than consoles? I'm also really curious with the direction that Xbox is going, will Nintendo be the last console with physical media in stores?

citing "customer preferences" as the reason to stop making physical games when the Disc Edition PS5 was like 50% more expensive, forcing the average consumer into digital only is some self fulfilling prophecy bullshit

I fear that if you're at the point of imagining what a therapist might say to you and imagining it's 100% supportive of being addicted to your laptop you probably shouldn't have the choice of whether or not to see one anymore.

to be clear, I also think Nintendo could've made more sizes for the actual game cartridges, cause from what I've seen, the game key cards are mostly the games that are way too small or too big for the like, 64(?) GB carts they use for Switch 2 games.

000

Dovahcooper @dovahcooper.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

say what you will about the Switch 2 game key cards, but at least there's still a cartridge in the box

twitch chat was unhelpful when I asked them this question. bsky, I hope you can help me out here

000

Dovahcooper @dovahcooper.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

so my question is was that cannibalism? Neyla as a leopard does not exist anymore, she is entirely bird now. and to take it a step further, if you, a human, uploaded yourself into a robotic animal and then ate another animal of that species would THAT be cannibalism?

100

Dovahcooper @dovahcooper.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

alright, maybe this site will get me an answer to a weird question that came up on stream on Sunday. context, during the final episode of Sly 2 (spoilers for almost 22 year old game) Neyla, a leopard, becomes part of the Clockwerk robot, a giant robotic owl and eats Arpeggio, a much smaller bird.

I'm not even exaggerating that much. the 2020 car is 20k and the brand new 2026 model is 26k. like, I get if you lease it only loses a third of the value once you've driven it. 6k is still less than a third of 26k

000

Dovahcooper @dovahcooper.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

looking for a car actually pisses me off so much. what do you mean a car from 6 years ago is almost the same price as its 2026 version? like, actually what do you mean? it's the same make and model just 6 years old and it's almost the exact same price.

Clearly I've not been vocal enough about genAI cause genAI people keep following me so let's fire some rent lowering shots Fuck genAI, it has no use, steals from artists, destroys the environment If every game has genAI going forward, I'll just play the 40 years of games that don't Hire humans

I just get so emotional watching my 10 little dumbasses fight global superpowers. and for anyone who gets upset at me for calling them that, yes, every single one of them is a dumbass and I love them. yes, even that one is. sure, they might be a genius, but they're still a dumbass.

being able to show their most memorable moments and fights from pre- and post-timeskip was beautiful, and having them all end up together in the battle for it? peak. anyway, I love this show so much more than I thought I would when people were recommending it to me years ago

Dovahcooper @dovahcooper.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

so I finally made it to episode 1000 of One Piece yesterday. spoilers ahead, btw. first, the modernization of the original opening was amazing and I wish they'd kept it for more episodes like they did during Enies Lobby. second, what an amazing moment to have for the thousandth episode

100

another thing is that I wish we'd gotten a remaster of the second Bravely Default game to go with the original's remaster on Switch 2. okay, thats all my thoughts on this week of games announcements. unionize the games industry

000

for the record, I do think that game deserved the final spot more than OoT did, but I understand why Nintendo would put a first party property in that slot instead of a third party game.

100

aaaand, I know about the other thing in the Direct, and yes I'm looking forward to OoT remaster and that, but I need to play through the rest of that series before I get there, I got lost in the first town of the first game lol

100

and yes, I know there was a lot of Persona announcements, but 1. I've never played a Persona game, and 2. I'm just hoping it means theyll finally drop P5R from 100 dollars to something more reasonable so I can play it
