Had my post surgery checkup and it looks like things have gone well. It’s been suggested that I wait out the full 8 weeks for getting dicked down, but otherwise I’m good to resume normal activities so long as it doesn’t hurt or anything.

I’m in therapy. I’m trying to get myself to a place where I can work. I’m doing what I can with the resources I have, and that pool just got a bit bigger. I want to live a life I’m happy with, and I think this was a critical step in my journey to be myself. I can’t wait to see where it leads.

My life is… wreck is probably being too harsh a word, but if you showed 15 year old Mars where I am, they’d be livid. I’m not living the life I want or need. And, hopefully I can do that now. I have access to support structures that make a better life possible. Access to meds (pending).

There’s a big part of me that wishes I’d known as a child; there’s so much of my life that could have benefited from a childhood diagnosis, but that didn’t happen. All I can do is move forward with the knowledge and tools at my disposal. And, I do plan to use those tools, because I need them.

So, as it turns out, I’m autistic and have ADHD… Which, I feel explains so much about me. I expected finding out to have more of an impact, but I think I’d accepted that it was likely the case a while ago. I think the grief I expected happened already, and now we’re in the post life stages.

A day out, but I won’t do these daily. Pain is really minimal, and I’ve really only felt minor twinges here and there. Had a shower, which was nice. So far, things are going well.
