Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 05/10/2026You do realize im not arguing against any of your points. They're all valid. I'm simply extending it into the future where we have more unknowns than ever. 110
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Immunity is developed around the body learning how to fight the organisms. It's a progressive process which doesn't always work. By propping up those who would eventually lose, are we perpetuating a weaker strain? This violates the "survival of the fittest" principle (which is admittedly flawed) 110
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 04/10/2026There's a larger issue around vaccinations which are always an attempt to circumvent natural processes and evolution. Sure, we can extinguish certain diseases, but will those organisms then evolve into something more deadly? Does mankind need to experience mutational stages to survive? 120
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Though small, the chances of a bad reaction from the shot exists. I had one five years ago and had flu-like symptoms for about eight hours. What if I hadn't vaccinated? We can't know the odds; the 40-60% rate is little more than guessing. Hard to trust Big Pharma to tell the truth about anything. 110
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 03/10/2026That may be true for some vaccines. Flu, not so much. >>While flu vaccine effectiveness varies from year to year, research shows that flu vaccines are typically between 40% and 60% effective during years when the most prevalent flu strains match the strains in the vaccine.<< 110
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 03/10/2026If i had any health issues at all, I'd consider it. But id have to be convinced that the shots would protect against the newest mutations. Pharma has been known to distribute outdated versions of Tamiflu. 110
Donald Johnson @donjohn8.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I don't do flu shots. Got one once and had a 3-hour flu-like reaction. 100
