Why does nobody talk about the unused World-e mini-game from Super Mario Advance 4? The one where you have to unclog a toilet? #SuperMarioAdvance4 #SMA4

The unused mini-game from Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, where the player is tasked with unclogging a toilet before the timer runs out. This would be done by using a carriable plunger item that appears nowhere else in the game. Every plunge timed well adds points to the score at the top-right of the screen.

The background is actually layer 2. The reason it looks so simple is because I like doing more with less. You're right, it doesn't v-scroll because of HDMA, but it was also kind of an artistic decision as it helps create a sense of scale. The entire sandwich is layer 3, even the top and bottom part.

In a way it already is! The moveset of this hack was heavily inspired by a game that Kaiden made and is still continuing to work on. You can take a peak here youtu.be/3_7AoVWjMug The entire reason this project exists is because I was curious if I could recreate this in Mario World (...answer is yes)
