Stargate SG-1: Have nudity one time in your very first episode because you thought you were going to be an edgy cable channel show. Then switch to "family friendly" for the rest of your 10 seasons & 214 episodes. Then have have an eternal "Nudity" content warning for the entire run on Netflix.

Several years ago Microsoft changed MS Paint to add (IMHO) unnecessary extra steps to "Save As" and "Image Properties" (for resizing), and my decades of muscle memory still has not recovered from the disruption to my workflow when using it.

The "Barcelona on the Go" food truck was at WorldCon yesterday and again today. It's been about 13 years since i was able to partake of them on a regular basis. If i don't restrain myself i may end up getting food from them every day of the con =) (Wish the Lime Truck was here too though.)

I've been busy with work the past few weeks so haven't been doing much bsky, but here are some of the cats _not_ being destructive nuisances. They're generally not cuddly with each other, but the limited space by the window sometimes makes them accidentally _almost_ cuddle.

Three cats on the coffee table next to the window. Cuddle cat is sleeping in the cardboard bowl scratcher on the left, Dapple Cat is sleeping in the cat bed on the right, and Adventure Cat is just lying on the table in the middle, with her head accidentally resting near or against Dapple Cat, and possibly at risk of kicking Cuddle Cat off the table if she suddenly stretches.

So we were actually successful at keeping Fluffy Cat off the top of the fridge with the tower of boxes. But that didn't curtail his desire to get up to the ceiling The first few times he jumped up on the range hood we yelled at him & got him down. But we were a little slow at catching him just once

This was literally the plot (or at least one of the plots) from Vernor Vinge's 2007 Hugo Award winning novel "Rainbows End". (Other themes/plots included augmented reality, autonomous vehicles, gig work, medical treatments genetically tailored to individuals, and (possibly) the rise of AI)

You wouldn't believe the indignant crying when Fluffy Cat first jumped up on the TV stand and saw the newly erected wall blocking his route to hop up on the mantle and knock things off.

A folding screen placed in the gap between the TV stand and the fireplace to block access to the mantle above the fireplace. Fluffy Cat, who it's designed to thwart, has left in a huff after crying about it, but Dapple Cat is lying on a pad next to the patio door.

So at their second concert this tour Rush swapped a lot of songs around in their setlist and played the entirety of 2112 for the first time in 3 decades. But they didn't play my favorite song, which we got to hear at the first concert. So i think i'm okay with how it turned out.

The script writers for our timeline are just lazy. "Turns out it was a private equity firm" is the real world equivalent of the giant sky beam at the end of a science fiction movie. It's a UK firm instead of US firm this time, but that's about on par with changing the color of the sky beam.

Avalyn and i have gone to see every Star Wars movie on opening weekend since we met. (I even proposed right before one of them.) So of course we're going to the Baby Yoda movie today. But after Mando S3 and recent SW movie news, i've got my expectations set real low. (But we'll always have Andor!)

So i've discovered that if i stand for long periods at my desk, my lower back starts hurting a lot. But if i dance for long periods at my desk, my legs get more tired but my back feels much better. (Apparently this is a known thing, just not known by me until getting a standing desk.)
