Frustrated with the election pundits talking as if votes only 'swing' from one party to another. I did some analysis of the results, and my modelling (based on votes only, not polls) suggests that the largest movement since 2024 local elections (by a long way) is from 'Did Not Vote' -> Reform

As an armchair expert I can say this isn't funny. A FPTP electorate only does this under extreme distress.

There's a jump down to the Greens at 508 (up 367 from 141) then another to a final independant column at 188 (up 17 from 171).

FPTP typically encourages a two-party system, so somthing is up.

Austria win the Eurovision song contest - with 178 public votes, to add to their 258 jury votes Israel easily won the public phone vote - with 297 votes, to add to their 60 from the juries (15th) In 2024, Israel also top with 323 public votes + 52 from juries
