Leaving a structure unfinished and exposed—especially before winter—risks structural damage to the building. In short, halting construction is an absolute last resort for any developer.

eopardizing the project's completion. Every extra month or year of construction racks up massive interest charges, meaning the profit intended to cover the project is entirely consumed by the bank. Construction work cannot simply be "switched off."

Slowing down a construction project already underway drives up costs—a factor that has been completely overlooked. In the real estate development industry, time is money; schedule delays trigger a domino effect, generating additional fixed, financial, and operational costs, and even j

This refers to an increase in non-interest costs—specifically, commissions and fees. Loan interest constitutes interest costs.

Polish FM Sikorski: "Kremlin’s assets frozen in Europe are never going back to Russia. They can be used in the future as war reparations or to help Ukraine rebuild, or they can be used now to help prevent further destruction and make future reconstruction cheaper."

This represents approximately 9% of the country's entire federal budget. Added to this are the costs of refinancing preferential loans—an expense rarely incurred by other countries—amounting to 2 trillion rubles. Together, these two items will consume 13.5% of Russia's budget.

What matters more here is the amount the Russian budget must pay to service public debt. These costs will rise with each passing year. It is estimated that in 2026, the cost of servicing Russia's public debt will reach nearly 4 trillion rubles.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again: The OFZ are probably the MOST IMPORTANT THING I WRITE ABOUT But often are the things the least amount of people read. The key rate, the government deficit, banking liquidity, NWF all feed into the OFZ problem 🤨

Banks are forced to vie for cash from the central bank rather than borrowing it from other banks on the commercial market. Banks holding any surpluses prefer to keep them as reserves rather than risk lending them to competitors.

Demand once again outstripped supply—this time threefold. The Russian interbank market has ceased to function properly, with banks losing mutual trust and the ability to lend liquidity to one another.

This will be an interesting transaction. The shares were purchased at 60 rubles and sold for perhaps even less than 30 rubles. I'm still wondering what the economics of this transaction are. The amount they could receive—28 billion rubles—is one-fifth of the daily budget expenditure.

"it can reach" doesn't mean it will 100%. If Putin is stupid enough to even use tactical nuclear weapons, Russia will not survive within its current borders.

Doris @doloresu.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
These facts have been recounted for several years by direct Russian participants in those events, including Prigozhin. The difference is that in 2014, Putin didn't announce his "decision" to the world, but launched hybrid actions, blaming Ukraine.

Specifically, the war began in 2014. It's no secret that in 2014, the FSB, along with the Russian military intelligence service (GRU), launched the war in Ukraine. Girkin (Strelkov) played a key role, leading an armed group to cross the border and begin occupying Ukrainian cities.

Nuclear weapons are not used for blackmail or the conquest of new countries.

Doris @doloresu.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
What will remain will be a mere remnant. It was not Ukraine that attacked Moscow so that Putin could use nuclear weapons to defend the country. It was Putin who started the war, a fact he joyfully announced to the world on February 24, 2022.

What does it mean to survive? Russia started this war to revive the USSR 2.0. Putin wanted Russia to be a world power. The use of nuclear weapons would lead to Russia's collapse, both economically and politically. The Russia we know today and see on the map will simply disappear.

Doris @doloresu.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
It's not out of the question that Putin, deprived of all human instincts, will use nuclear weapons. It will be the end of him and the end of Russia. Both he and Russia will become world pariahs. Russia will not win this war.

Therefore, the loans were secured only by the warehouse space they had built, not the land. When the warehouses burned down, the banks were left with virtually no debt. Each new warehouse that burns down becomes a major problem for the bank that provided the loan for its construction.

My thoughts on the situation of the banks from which Wildberries took out loans. Wildberries built most of its key logistics centers in Russia on land leased from the state or local governments. Wildberries did not own the land.
