The alternative to trans rights is to say that nobody is free to choose how they present themselves. It only feels like freedom for people whose choice already aligns with the government's mandate. "You're free to choose your favorite color if your favorite color is blue."

I went stargazing with partners and friends for the Perseids meteor shower last month! It was a beautiful experience and I took a few film photos to remember it by! each of these was a 15 minute exposure at 50mm f2.8 on some iso400 film I forget the stock of.

Sonic Adventure 2 remake in which two players can play the story at once. One plays the hero path while the other is doing the the villain path, competing to finish the stages first. Final boss, both players alternate between fighting the boss and collecting coins to fuel their Super Sonic forms

Quite a lot to drop without warning, but the people close to me know I've put an appropriate amount of thought into it.

Even now, the habit tries to assert itself: head off miscommunication before it starts. But I realize now that the people who care about me have the patience to resolve miscommunications after they're made. Beats locking myself away and trying to read everyone's minds. What a miserable way to live.

I don't expect to transition rapidly. I don't think I'd look good in a dress. I don't even particularly want to look feminine, and I'm not yet sure that's even possible, but all my life I have looked at masculine women with awe, so I'm not worried. Not in a hurry. she/her will probably feel right after a good long time and changes too slow to really spot. And if it never feels right, that's fine too.

As for the name, Rau, Stomp has been an okay name for a while, but it's never really worked. Been a bit off. But Rau, the character, was deliberately designed for autobio comics in which parts of my history were slightly tweaked and things went just a little more how I wish they would have. At her core, her purpose has always been to represent a more ideal me. The name makes sense for me.

I'm thinking I'll just change my handles on discord and such, until people naturally prefer that name for me. It's much easier than trying to force it immediately. Let the dead name die casually.

Before Weywot can answer the question, they have to establish the concept of a scaler. There is no limit like the Planck scale. Scalers are tools or creatures made smaller, with the purpose of moving more quickly and manipulating smaller materials, to create more scalers for the same purpose. The smaller something is, the faster it moves and thinks. These things move at a casual pace from their own perspective.

But returning to the original question, Planck isn't actually a limit. It's what they call a scaling barrier. It's the same concept as space travel was to us, before we had the technology to cross that barrier, except it's theorized that the planck scale represents a gap between scales, at which the next largest objects after quarks and such, is so incredibly small and fast that we can't hope to manipulate them with our technology.
It's possible a new technology will appear to help us cross that barrier, or that our universe's chemistry is simply bad for it, in which case you would have to first scale up or contact a scaler already above you.
Scaling up is the process of building networks that act as larger creatures. It's what we did to get from microbes to multicellular animals, and what we're doing going from animals to cities, to nations, to planets, and eventually to galactic civilizations. It takes a long time.
All that to say, Weywot has no clue where we are relative to them in the dimension of scale, but notes that the similarities found between our environments suggests relatively high proximity.

In fact, the shared experience is often what we hope to chat abt when we come out. We're just tired of being called delusional for it.

Tonight I looked up at Orion and decided to identify the star at the tip of his arrow. I know this isn't the classic constellation. I like mine more. It was Jupiter. I expected a planet because it didn't twinkle the way stars do. - So I asked why planets don't twinkle and the internet consensus seemed to be that it was due to their distance. Even our best telescopes see stars as nothing but pin points of light. Some could swallow Jupiter's entire orbit and they're just so far away that they appear dim. So I looked up again, now interpreting brightness as proximity.
The universe was 3D. And I was smaller than I'd ever been.

I think the reason I might be so against doing commissions any more is because one too many people gave me the impression that I wasted their money. They sit in the back of my mind saying I should go back and fix the mistakes. It's like those commissions never ended.
