Recently realized how often I use this one elongated pentagon for bodies.

I used this process about 7 years ago when making a couple character rotation commissions! Nobody told me how, so it was a mess. I honestly don't think there's any other way to make this kind of animation.

The dog in the top left was named Nanuq. When he died I took his mask. It's the one still on Stomp.

Dogstomp entry from March 7th, 2018. A while after my dog died... he had broken free from my parents' yard and was headed across town, to my house, when he was hit... Clover messaged me asking if I was doing well, and I responded with the last photo I ever took of Nanuq. It is a really nice photo.

Her first comic (left) was directly something that happened to me at summer camp. The following one was slightly different than how it actually went. The next were increasingly offset from reality. Her 7th comic, (right) is actually relevant to that. I really should draw more of these.

Quite a lot to drop without warning, but the people close to me know I've put an appropriate amount of thought into it.

Even now, the habit tries to assert itself: head off miscommunication before it starts. But I realize now that the people who care about me have the patience to resolve miscommunications after they're made. Beats locking myself away and trying to read everyone's minds. What a miserable way to live.

I don't expect to transition rapidly. I don't think I'd look good in a dress. I don't even particularly want to look feminine, and I'm not yet sure that's even possible, but all my life I have looked at masculine women with awe, so I'm not worried. Not in a hurry. she/her will probably feel right after a good long time and changes too slow to really spot. And if it never feels right, that's fine too.

As for the name, Rau, Stomp has been an okay name for a while, but it's never really worked. Been a bit off. But Rau, the character, was deliberately designed for autobio comics in which parts of my history were slightly tweaked and things went just a little more how I wish they would have. At her core, her purpose has always been to represent a more ideal me. The name makes sense for me.

I'm thinking I'll just change my handles on discord and such, until people naturally prefer that name for me. It's much easier than trying to force it immediately. Let the dead name die casually.

This was probably the strangest comic I ever made. Drew it the day it happened and then again 6 months later because I forgot it was already drawn. But by pure chance, none of the panels overlap. So I combined them into an unnecessarily long version.

This could be my favorite photo of mine.

I love the colors, with the two very different light sources and it's an extremely comfortable place to me because I've lived there for 4 years.

It feels like freshly planted nostalgia.
