The Padres series was worse for the in-game and studio crew basically doing a Padres podcast, but the Dodgers wish casting from ESPN is entering their SEC level. I've thought Fox has been much better this series funny enough, even with the Dodgers PbP and fellow glorious name-haver on the call.

If the Brewers pitcher doesn't throw two balls into orbit and they actually turn a difficult but typically completed by Pratt/Turang double play, the Dodgers score 0 runs. (and you assume Turang doesn't hit one off the scoreboard against a RHP instead of Contreras off LHP) ESPN is the worst

If Will Smith challenges two borderline two-strike pitches to Brice Turang in the first and third innings, both of which ultimately led to runs, maybe Yamamoto's outing looks different. If Roberts brings Roki Sasaki back out for the fifth inning -- rather than turning to lefty Kris Bubic, who proceeded to give up the William Contreras home run that tied the score at 4 -- maybe the Brewers don't gain momentum. And if Brock Stewart doesn't make an errant pickoff throw to first base in the bottom of the sixth, allowing David Hamilton to later score on Contreras' single, maybe everything is different.

Calling on the powers of my childhood Brewers faves to deliver this for us tonight. We suffered together for this.

Pat Listach, who won rookie of the year and I was convinced that meant the Brewers were about to win 10 World Series crowns in a row. I was a child though.

Greg Vaughn, in front of the Vaughn’s Valley sign on a baseball card. Brewers legend, and had convinced child me that the Brewers were actually the best team in the league along with Uecker.
