Saw a video of someone in Warwick ruining their car in water that turned out to only be two feet deep, so at least they didn't drown and just lost a car. Definitely they needed to be more careful about floodwater!

Sea Ice Today is back! For nearly two decades, scientists at the National Snow and Ice Data Center, or NSIDC, have helped people understand what is happening to sea ice in the Arctic and around Antarctica. Its monthly science analyses were paused last fall. buff.ly/e20zCU6

Visited Cannon Beach for the first time in many years, and seeing the dramatic rocks and the ochre seastars and the dimunitive hermit crabs and feeling the wet sand beneath my feet felt so good.
Late afternoon, just prior to sunset, on an Oregon beach. The pale orange and blue sky reflects in pockets of seawatwr between rocks. Seastacks loom in the background. Beachgoers look for starfish and crabs amongst the residual tidepools.
