I should have journaled more while I was on painkillers after my surgery. Next time. This was from April.

I can't lay flat on my back because then all of the stuff in my mouth that I don't swallow pools in my jaw and ears and the pressure creates and radiates an intense pain. I finally slept like 4 hours in a row last night sitting up. I went back to sleep and slipped down and woke up with my jaw and ears full of fluid and just an incredible amount of pressure in those areas. This nightly occurrence has led to swelling that has given way to nerve pain. I tried staying on painkillers but that made me feel sick and nervous and dumb and didn't alleviate the other issues. I can't talk without pain and I feel bad because it seems like I'm upset but I'm not. This fucking sucks.
