I will tell ya what, I'm a huge sucker for the Impressionists and I love seeing some Monet and Renoir pieces in a museum (went to the High Art Museum in Atlanta yesterday).

Claude Monet painted this view of the Seine near the town of Argenteuil, northwest of Paris, shortly after his arrival there in 1871-likely from the small boat he had converted into a floating studio. He included the Château Michelet and other recognizable architectural landmarks. The small, delicate brushstrokes identify this work as belonging to the "high" phase of Impressionism.

The brilliant colors of Monet's landscape are mirrored in the water below, resulting in a remarkable symmetry that makes it difficult to distinguish between the reflections and their sources.

All said, I was 100% safe on the opposite side of post on West Fort Hood. And while I have vivid memories of the day that Nidal Hasan caused, he deserves to rot in a prison cell for the rest of his life. He **does not** deserve the attention that comes with the "spectacle" of a public execution.

We spent the next 5+ hours under lockdown in workout clothes in our company building without cell phones (had left em in our barracks room across the parking lot). The future dad of my godkids was supposed to be at the shooting site that day. My unit was supposed to go through the next week.

I still vividly remember the weather outside on November 5th 2009 at Fort Hood. It was mid-70s with a decent breeze and pretty clear sky. It was our last week of rear detachment as rest of my unit had come back from Iraq. We just started stretching for afternoon PT when the shelter order came down.

Not to mention, the Pulse attack, which was also Islamist terrorism, had triple the body count to the Fort Hood attack. And there have been multiple worse mass shooting incidents since 2009; Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, Sutherland Springs, El Paso, Uvalde, and Parkland were all deadlier attacks.

Later, he claimed Mamdani never commented about the recent stabbing of an NYPD detective. Mamdani talked about the stabbing several times, including the below statement where the mayor notes he visited the injured officer:

Earlier today, an off-duty NYPD detective was stabbed several times in the Bronx during what preliminary information indicates was an attempted robbery.

I visited the detective and his family at Jacobi Hospital with Police Commissioner Tisch.

He is thankfully in stable condition, and I am hoping for his quick and complete recovery. I am confident that the NYPD will identify and apprehend the suspects and that the people responsible will be held to account.
