Open source browser extensions and some digging around/common sense instead of relying a on a single browser serves to be more ideal. I've learned roughly a decade ago that any tech product that embraces enshittification and planned obsolescence over time cannot be trusted, regardless of promises.

I'm a bit more strict, sadly. It's part of why I info-dump with countless references to new artists I commission. "Priority 1: everything about the piece must be in character." This can extend to an artist's style and specialty, sadly - but I do allow for some artistic liberty depending on them.

No, you're not. Capcom loves to reuse assets when it comes to their home engine(RE Engine). Back when I played RE6(Ugh.), I recognized the Cyclops model in Dragon's Dogma for one of that game's bosses. In Oni, a lot of MH fans are seeing familiar monster designs/models.
