New article w/ @distinktionjournal.bsky.social Commensuration isnt just measurement, pricing, or ranking. Its liberal modernity’s equivalence machine: difference becomes legitimate only when convertible into a common metric. Finance is its purest form: uncertainty formatted as objective necessity.
