We're in the Denver Airport on our way to the game in Seattle. I've flown out of Denver hundreds of times but I've never had to walk as far as we did today. We had to park within 40 yards of the farthest long-term spot & our gate is at the end of the terminal. Fitbit says 1.3 miles at the airport.

I played in Husky Stadium more recently than the Hawkeyes. On Halloween 1970, my Ballard Boys Club team beat Green Lake 28-0 in Husky Stadium b4 the Huskies played Oregon. 3rd string me got my name announced when I assisted on a tackle. UW's QB was Sonny Sixkiller who was later in The Longest Yard.

Juries should view testimony from cops the same way they view testimony from criminals, very skeptically. Our law enforcement system has to be entirely reworked before cops deserve any credibility.

AFA/Navy flyover should be happening about the time Caitlin Clark makes her picks in Iowa City. The flyover often go over our house slightly higher than the stadium so I'll be out in the driveway with my tablet and my phone watching Caitlin and hopefully, a couple B2 Spirit stealth bombers.

The whole thing reeks but the Browns took it a disgusting step further by giving Watson guaranteed money so he could buy his way out of criminal charges, ensuring they could eventually play him. The fact that they have no Hawkeyes makes my Browns boycott that much easier.

We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that if Schmitt's basic facts hadn't been wrong, his entire "charge" would have been that Jack Smith was in the same city as Fani Willis in Feb 2024. He couldn't prove any communication or conspiracy. He was relying on MAGA Qonspiracy theorists to do the rest.

The NFL needs the team that designed the virtual 1st down marker to develop a tool that shows HQ & the TV audience where a punt goes out of bounds. If golf can track the flight of a ball, tracking a football & overlaying it on the field shouldn't be too different. Refs are guessing right now.
