Hey wait I can actually post #Art right now A lil doodle made to experiment with new brushes!

Half-tones are used heavily in the piece to give texture, and the background is a light blue circle against an orange gradient

Ok so this isn't a finished piece at all but I don't think I'm going back to it ever lol. It was quick and fun to make and that's all I wanted! I think the robo-fellow looks kinda neat so yeaaa. It's nice. Might draw more robos in the future. I really like Canti from FLCL..... might draw him some day....

advice to young writers: - begin the first sentence of every paragraph with, "So basically the whole deal is, is that [...]" - begin subsequent sentences with, "And plus, [...]" - end every paragraph with, "So that basically wraps it up as far as all that goes." - 4 blank lines between paragraphs

Idk.... in that moment it was a perfect piece of art. Not just good or great, but transcendentally real... I've kept that part with me forever, and of course it's renewing itself throughout time, but there'll always be a part of FLCL that's stuck in that perfect moment for me, I think...

It'll always bring me back there, to the moment where I needed it. It helped me understand myself and my feelings and it attached itself to me in a way I can't separate myself from. Of course it's great on it's own merit, but there's also this almost spiritual aspect I can't separate from it now.

Entirely! But to clarify what I meant, I first watched it as a preteen, and FLCL is at its core about growing up in a strange and absurd world, having to eventually try and understand grown-up shit like sex and relationships while still being a kid That's why it's trapped in time for me!

It's the dub for me... The first time I watched FLCL, I saw it dubbed through a free YouTube playlist FLCL is so ingrained in its time period for me that watching it in any other way feels damn near sacrilegious lmao I'm glad that the sub and dub are both great though! I love em both :]
