Bang bang click. My @smh @theage cartoon.
Three vignettes. 1. Trump with an old-fashioned six-shooter pistol, says “TAKE THAT IRAN!” while gun goes “BANG BANG BANG BANG CLICK” 2. Trump looks at gun which now goes “CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK” 3. Trump holding gun arm behind back, bringing other hand up to ear, says, “I’m hearing Iran is ready to make a deal.”

Yes Australia’s house prices may fall – but the decades of unchecked property price growth were the true policy failure
Instead of relying on tax-enhanced speculation, investors must now look at established properties based on actual profitability – leaving space for first home buyers

Giving minimum wage earners (about 100,000 people) a 6% wage increase to match inflation, and the 3m or so workers who have awards tied to it a 4.75% is not going to cause a wage price spiral. It means they can buy what they are already buying. Like bread AND milk and maybe some biscuits and fuel

Sorry. My @smh cartoon.
“May 26 was National Sorry Day.” 8 frames, illustrating: “Sorry…we keep arresting and incarcerating you (kid getting arrested by 2cops); you keep inexplicably dying in our custody (cop outside cell, small black hand visible through door window); we destroyed your heritage again (energy corp guy blowing up red rocks) ; we’ve ignored so many recommendations (Bringing them Home report, 1997); we voted NO (referendum ballot paper) we didn’t just legislate a Voice to Parliament (Indigenous people locked out of parliament); a failed bomb attack against you is barely newsworthy (people fleeing a parcel going tick tick tick); the gap keeps widening (a tent at dusk, beside it silhouette of a person comforting another).
Then the line “Sorry that saying sorry is the least we can do.”
