@williambibbiani.bsky.social is spot-on in this review for Digger. Especially the closing paragraph resonates deeply with me. As a film director I hate talking trash about movies, but when a movie cost 180 million $$$, and this is the result, they can handle it. www.thewrap.com/creative-con...

‘Digger’ Review: Tom Cruise Gives 110% in This Powerless, Self-Adulating Claptrap

Tom Cruise give his all in "Digger," Alejandro González Iñárritu’s smug, self-aware social commentary that's like bad "SNL."

🎬 PSA for indie filmmakers: Ran WHOIS lookups on 30+ "film festivals" spamming my inbox. Cannes, London, NY, Toronto... Every single one: same registrar, same servers, same operator. One person running 30 fake festivals, collecting fees. Filed an abuse report. Investigation opened. #IndieFilm

If you think gender affirming care is unnatural, simply stop your hair-transplant, viagra, and testosterone treatments. But let others do with their own bodies as they see fit.

Recently I’ve been followed by a lot of film festivals. That’s great. But you should know I’m in the middle of a large scale forensic investigation to expose fake film festivals. There will be a reckoning cuz indie filmmakers are sick and tired of being ripped off by cons. #fuckfakefilmfestivals

When looking at the IMDb page for our film Company of Shadows, there’s only one recommendation: I WANT YOUR SEX. Which is nothing like our movie, but I absolutely love this!

What’s up with this trend where there are easily 2 to 3 years between seasons of a tv series? Surely covid can’t be your excuse anymore.

And then they throw in some Celtic languages and yoink bits of languages from around the world along the way. The result: a language where there are usually about 10 different ways to say something, but when it comes to writing, you sit at your desk for 20 minutes trying to think of one 🤣 #amwriting
