If you think gender affirming care is unnatural, simply stop your hair-transplant, viagra, and testosterone treatments. But let others do with their own bodies as they see fit.

Just finished reading Robert Bloch’s PSYCHO. Finally, after having seen the movie about a million times. Considering what I had read about the novel, it was a lot better than I expected it to be.

Revisiting this masterpiece of a film: DER BAADER MEINHOF COMPLEX. The attention to detail in this film to recreate the various periods is mind-blowingly accurate. I wish I had the extended version, which I have yet to see.

Just finished reading what I now think is the best and most accurate account of the Ed Gein story. It’s well researched and well written: a true page-turner. DEVIANT THE SHOCKING TRUE STORY OF ED GEIN, THE ORIGINAL "PSYCHO" by HAROLD SCHECHTER #edgein #haroldschechter
Book cover for "Deviant" by Harold Schechter. Cream background with bold black sans-serif title text. Below the title: smaller text reading "The Shocking True Story of Ed Gein, the Original 'Psycho'". A horizontal graphic of two red-toned eyes with a grainy, distorted halftone effect appears in the center. Author name in large black sans-serif at the bottom.

Just watched BULGONIA. While it’s a fantastic film, I’m not quite sure how this ended up being a $55-million budget. It’s essentially a chamber piece. Compare it to say, Moon (2009) by Duncan Jones: that fantastic flick was made for $5-million (and made a profit, unlike BULGONIA). What am I missing?

Still frame from movie: Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800, shirtless and imposing, faces down three punk gang members in a grimy, industrial setting: Bill Paxton as the Punk Leader, Brian Thompson as a Punk, and a third gang member. All in the last 24 hours. Most of then in the 6 hours. A 4.7 being the highest so far. But it’s not level that counts here, but the frequency. When there are this many in a short time it’s called a swarm. With swarms the chance of “a big one” hitting go up dramatically. So, quake prep.
