I think for a lot of people who have been victims of sexual assault, it does feel personal. Because sexual assault is a large systemic issue, and forgoing consent with one individual signifies, in some way, that you don't respect consent for *anyone* in the same circumstance.

I think for most people, the launch of the tech was the most problematic aspect. Stop marketing it as a way to offload texting your mom. I don't want it to read books for me. I want it to be used in research, data entry, and pattern recognition etc. It's a tool, but not appropriate for *everything*

Generally I'm on board with the "fuck AI" movement, but it very much is a nuanced discussion and is dependent on usage and power distribution and resource cost. I don't like AI being used to make art (this is a big conversation in itself tho). But it's certainly useful for a lot of things!
