I think a lot about why Wendy Carlos’ albums are out of print and her wonderful website is now reserved for having a friend of hers tell people to leave her alone. It’s so fucking heart breaking what the world does to trans women

artists: do you have a webstore x printer solution to recommend? I'm considering print on demand x direct to customer solution provider, esp since shipping (from Sweden) can get expensive for the customer. I'm a lil overwhelmed by my research on Reddit. 😅 Products: prints and stickers, for now.

also missed Shogun towards the bottom of the list until now which is a US production but it is largely in Japanese so it counts, still that's shockingly few international shows

like. seriously, not even a single anime? i'm not the biggest anime fan out there but that seems like such an obvious oversight

only one show that isn't originally in English too (Squid Game), unless i'm missing something here, what a mess of a list

My friend made a cool game on a game jam and within a month a slopclone of it is on Steam. This is happening every day for indie devs and I hate it.

once got approached by someone i did not recognize at all calling me out by my name in a club and as she started talking to me i kept not being able to recall who it was so i asked "sorry but *do* we know each other" and she straight up just replied "no i just saw you on okcupid before" like WHAT

as a Metroid fan and a Shin Megami Tensei sicko who's also a trans lesbian i can only say that the Digital Devil Saga-esque setup of "Samus is more metroid than human now and is becoming a predator that feasts on her enemies" for Ravenous makes me VERY happy hahahaha

i wish i had a group like this that could help me with my make-up routine 😭 i think i'm doing okay with what i have but i kinda focussed on the more obviously visible stuff like colored eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara blush, lipstick but i don't really know anything about the basics i feel

happy bandcamp friday, i don't have new music to promote (things are slowly in the works but it will take some time), but as always my music is pay-what-you-want and i'm thankful for any support: digitalnightmares.bandcamp.com/album/a-bad-...

"After Covid and with the rise of AI, the internet we once loved is gone, and with it my passion." is one of the most brutal sentences but also 500% what i'm feeling and fighting against every single day

i once had plans for a blog series exclusively covering pc games that AREN'T available on Steam as the whole story with Devotion and then a couple years later with HORSES played out, maybe i should get back to that idea at some point cause Steam is so frustrating

it's a shame how poisoned the well has become around the terminology of digital art to the point where regular folks a few years ago would think i'm talking about nfts and now think i'm talking about ai whenever i bring up that term and like. no fuck that i hate that shit

010

dgtl_nightmares @digitalnightmares.de · 31/08/2026

made a whole point about it before that i also make clear on my website but it's worth pointing out here as well: i have not and will not use ai in any capacity ever, i have not and will not shill crypto in any capacity ever, all my works are copyright-free and free to use non-commercially

yeah the RE1 is not gonna stop at the Cologne trade fair, RE6 still will but it takes twice as long as the RE1 would. i'm gonna be working at gamescom but i live in the Ruhr area which is usually not that big of a problem but now i'm not actually sure how to make it to Cologne in the early mornings

coming up with that solution was so satisfying, my party was massively underleved and would’ve gotten curbstomped by any encounter on those floors, so using the descension/ascension skills to quickly move floors and shift to avoid enemies along the way felt like i beating the game at its own rules

000

dgtl_nightmares @digitalnightmares.de · 09/08/2026

my party got wiped and instead of getting a game over, the game puts me to floor 0, had me pick other characters, my old party was left ko'ed on floor 23, so instead of grinding up the other characters, i used all the teleports i unlocked beforehand to rescue my old party avoiding every encounter

i really respect the guts of Void Stranger to only have one achievement on Steam that you immediately get for starting a new game, especially for games built around mystery like that, system-wide and very easily publically visible info like this can be such a detriment

010

dgtl_nightmares @digitalnightmares.de · 09/08/2026

fully agree with this and also just hatred for achievements on game platforms in general, i don't see any incentive in playing a game more for some arbitrary pop-up message, it's a cheap hit of serotonin that loses its value real fast

started playing Dungeon Encounters this week and i can't say i'm having *fun* necessarily but i'm fascinated by it in a way i haven’t by any game in a hot minute. dungeon crawler jrpgs stripped down to their bare minimum and then pushed to their logical extremes, one to be studied for sure

they see the danger of supposed islamic terrorists attacking queer people out in the streets but still want to put trans people on a list to be accessible by all instances of the state and pretend not to see any dangers in that, their words of sympathy towards us are excuses to enact racist policy

110

dgtl_nightmares @digitalnightmares.de · 26/07/2026

shameful to see the response of our government to the horrible act in Berlin last night to just amount to overt racism towards migrants and children from migrant families and a sudden fake interest in protecting the queer community as if Merz and Dobrindt hadn't been coming after us the entire time

dgtl_nightmares @digitalnightmares.de · 26/07/2026

trying to figure out the future of this project as i'm currently under a lot of pressure on other ends, and as i'm extremely numb to everything as of late i struggle to feel positive about any ideas even though i wanna try expanding into other media still
