Found this image again and I'm terrified to go see the price of the dread figma on the used market now that ravenous apparently jacked the prices of the game to high heaven

Comparison of the prices of Samus 1/12 figmas over the year, starting from the Other M figma in 2012 at 2700 jpy and ending at the Dread figma in 2022 at 12500 jpy

This got me thinking about how large gaming franchises are incredibly comfortable from a fandom perspective Like if you're a Sonic fan, unless you're 35+ you will basically never run out of things to experience within the franchise, so I can see why some would never even look elsewhere

Just had a gyaru tell me to download Firefox in a real YouTube ad commissioned by them because in the world of vertical videos, any and all combinations of words you couldn't have ever imagined are made possible beyond your wildest dreams.

I do find it darkly funny that the original guy instantly bailed from the internet after dropping his variant, so other folks are now decompiling it (also with AI ofc) for english/amd/etc variants Real human centipede type(moon) shit

English MTL of the og chinese release post

A significant number of issues have been seriously addressed and fixed, and a host of excellent new features have been added. With love from Cloud23333 (who has since retired from the online community).

Optimized offline startup; reduced reliance on physical network adapters and external network environments.

Screenshot of an english fgoa launcher off github, mentioning how it's a decompile of the chinese launcher (which itself still contains bits of the original .NET card emulator app, DeckReaderUI)

Looks like some dude on bilibili released a "PC version" of FGO arcade that's basically a repack of existing work with a bunch of AI on top The dumps and tools for FGOA have been available for years tbh but there was no way to play it except on private servers... Surprising it didn't happen sooner

It's kinda baffling how a lot of people will readily pay a Claude subscription just to spend a shitload of compute on projects that make no sense architecturally "hmm yes i will maintain a reimplementation of half of DirectX just to run a painting program on Linux even though krita exists"

its funny to read stuff like this from a france/italy POV because japanese culture has always felt way more familiar than the fucked up things that were coming out of the british microcomputer scene imagine the work rules meme but i'm calling human resources upon seeing the boxart for cheesy on ps1
