I’ve been quiet this week… well it’s because I was in the hospital. I had my gallbladder removed and am now home recovering. Thankfully I have the most amazing husband who is taking care of me and Tuan!

I loved Odd Todd. My favorite first person stories are the JD Robb books, the In Death series. I tried one of the audio books because I didn’t want to wait for the book version in Libby. I hated it so much. I had an idea what everyone sounded like in my head & I didn’t like the actors interpretation

I love this!! My dad used to joke saying when he met my mother she couldn't cook, she would boil water & call it soup! I always thought he was just telling his usual dad jokes. I found out as a teenager that it was true! She had no idea how to cook, & my dad's mom, her mother-in-law taught her!

I've been pulling out stitches from a quilt that's on my frame. I leave the light and seam ripper on the quilt when I take a break. Well this morning my special needs son (25) decided he didn't like them there!! He handed them both to me and then walked away happy as can be! 😆😆 #quiltsky

A double sided seam ripper (that is currently closed) and a neck lamp that are sitting on my table.

I get that. I don't know how I became so obsessed with it, lol. I'm still in the middle of this pattern that I started almost 3 years ago. Hoping to finish it this year! I keep thinking I want to make more of them, but I still haven't discussed l finished the first one!

Thanks!! The bags I make have panels made ITH, but then I have to sew it all together. That's the hardest part, sewing through all those layers.

Decided I couldn't let the day go by without making something summery. So I made carrot dogs and creamy tofu potato salad! 😋 So yummy and it's been so long since I made them!

That's why I made this!

A cream colored background fabric that looks like a poster. The poster has blue and red stars on it and says "United States of America 250th Anniversary Celebration July 4, 2026"

Then there is a sash of gray covering the poster diagonally that says "POSTPONED"

There's another gray sash across the bottom that says "We will properly celebrate in 2029, after we save democracy!"

I've been so focused this week on a few art pieces and quilts that I neglected my duties as an ally! Here are a few memes to make up for it!! #happypridemonth

I finally got my latest art piece done! This is going to SAQA for an online auction that will be happening in September. It's called "Having Fun at the Beach (aerial view)". 🥰 #SAQA #artquilts #quiltsky

My latest art quilt. It is an aerial view of the beach. There are colorful dots to represent people, white and orange beach umbrellas, white and green beach umbrellas, colorful rectangles to represent beach towels, and a surfboard out in the water. This was made with fabric, acrylic paint (for the beach) and water color pencils (for the water).

Definitely a relax & enjoy type of vacationer! My amazing sister is taking us (me, hubby, & our other sister) on a cruise in November. All I can think of is just sitting on my balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning & enjoying the water!! I'm also bringing an EPP project for some relaxation!

If you look at the friends I have, they are different religions, different ethnicities, and some represent different parts of the LGBTQ+ community. If you hate any of those groups, then we will never be friends. And you'll miss out on the awesomeness that is me! #pride
