#dna #genealogy #familyhistory #ancestry Are there any websites or videos to show me HOW to use my dna to find relatives? It’s been loaded on ancestry for years but I’ve actually never done anything with it. But maybe it can help me break thru a couple walls.

#genealogy #familytree #familyhistory Genealogy Opinions wanted: Almost all involved have now passed away (just one 1/2 bro remains) My mother’s father died very young leaving 3 children under 5 in the early 1940’s. 2 of the children were placed “temporarily”…. 1/

@newsnation.bsky.social Ugh. Just tried your station. Again. I keep trying it and I don’t know why. After watching Tom Homan’s speech live for over 5 minutes, had to turn it off. Don’t understand why you air all the BS he’s spewing like it’s truth.

#genealogy #familytree #ancestry Oh good lord. Is this what we’re doing now? Treating ancestry.com as a dating site?🤣🤣. Nope. Simply no.

The New York Times confirms that Twitter is nothing more than the rigged playpen of a billionaire who lies daily about loving free speech. I think it possible that Elon Musk is the single most pathetic human being alive.

#genealogy #familyhistory #familytree What is your most interesting ancestor you’ve found in your tree? Mine is pretty boring. No one famous or particularly notable. Any criminals? Any murders? 20 kids? Anyone tied to a famous story/situation?

#genealogy #familyhistory #familytree Have you ever had a tree where each child had 8-10 kids. Each of those kids ALSO had 8-10 kids. And all married a lot of siblings. And every single family unit has a James, William, Sarah, Mary, Isaac, Elizabeth… and they all lived in the same county? 🤣🤣

#genealogy #familyhistory #familytree Every once in awhile I find something very interesting. Why can’t these people ever be in MY tree?? Paper from Aug 1896 which carries odd tale of a woman who lived her life as a man. Even being in the Civil War. Buried with military tombstone.

A Newspaper from Aug 1896 which carries the odd tale of a woman who lived her full long life as a man. Even being in the Missouri Civil war. Even after her death and everyone found out she was still buried with military tombstone.

The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the Axe, for the Axe was clever and convinced the Trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them. Turkish proverb

A mystical forest with tall, dense trees. In the center stands an axe with a wooden handle, wearing a long red tie. It hovers slightly above the ground and is not embedded in a tree stump. Surrounding it are smiling trees with friendly faces, all wearing red baseball caps. The scene has a surreal, fairy-tale-like atmosphere with soft, magical light shining through the forest.

Dear US Media covering Combover Caligula's speech: if you can spell things like: "Disinformation" "Misinformation" "Fibs" "Untruths" "Fabrications" "Demonstrable falsehoods" “Plays loosely w/facts” "Mendacity" "Prevarications” Or "whoppers" Then you're probably able to spell the word “lies.”

…AND I look forward to the day some Republican has a tall, strong, physically fit, athletic daughter that has to PROVE she’s a GIRL by showing some random coach or ref what is under her shorts. Don’t think it will happen? Good luck with that. We’re closer than you think.

#genealogy #familyhistory #familytree Have a question for a historian but also genealogist. When did men in the 1700 and 1800 submit their wills/file them to county court house? At death? When dying? Or years earlier when they thought of it? If a family….. 1/2
