Last year the pharmacist told me acetaminophen (not ibuprofen). I was still down and out for the whole weekend. Going to try an antihistamine before my appointment this year🤞

Hey, Canadians, does anyone have a 🇨🇦 web hosting provider they're happy with that doesn't cost megabucks? I was with Hypermart forever, then they got taken over by another company that's now been swallowed up by a different one I'm not impressed with.

Yeah, that coughing and "something going around" discussions is COVID. That nice low summer is over. Toronto's wastewater viral load is showing a consistent upward trend in COVID-19 and nearly zero levels of influenza A & B and RSV. wwater.ca/Ontario/Toro...

Out of all the candidates there are only 4 I feel are potentially aligned with my values. We get 6 votes though so do I vote for 2 who are maybe not quite as terrible as the others or just not use those 2 votes?

The yip yip monsters on Sesame Street. My mom left me inside watching while she went out back to hang out laundry and said she looked over to see me standing at the back window sobbing.

@kempie.bsky.social how’s everyone in your house doing? The nugget is sick AGAIN. Third illness of the school year. It’s gotta be a record this early.

For the record, I never heard back from Erica. I genuinely do not understand people running for public office who don’t respond to messages from the public. Anyway… I guess there’s only one school board trustee getting my vote.

I wonder how much of our taxes they spent on those ads saying they’re putting lots of money into education instead of just adequately funding education.

Very limited eligibility right now in Ontario and even those eligible are having trouble finding pharmacies with vaccines in stock. Won’t be available to the general public until the end of October.

Anyone in Ontario actually locate a pharmacy with updated vaccines yet? My pharmacy said they'd call me when they arrive. My Doctor's office, which usually has them early for high risk groups, hasn't received any yet either. #Ontario #dougfordfailure #covid #flu #vaccines

I agree that electric scooters can be dangerous. Especially with no helmet. But not a top priority when I think about road safety.

Right? Check this one out 😬😬
2. We need to look at the segments of vulnerable users and determine realistic solutions. Major concerns are rising with the use of electric scooters and bikes that can reach high speeds. These are technically vehicles that should comply with various acts related to transportation. For example, I have seen people on electric scooters, not obeying traffic signals, which at some point could result in accidents, especially given the high speeds they can travel.
As such, I would start with a campaign of safety education and awareness through the City of Belleville. I would also work with Belleville Police Service to ensure that violations of the traffic acts are enforced with those inappropriately operating electric or traditional scooters and bike bikes.
For joggers and walkers, use of sidewalks and trails would be suggested to reduce the risk of injury from automobiles. I grew up on Rednersville Road when it was very thin and not much of a shoulder. Whether I was riding my bike or walking with friends we needed to be aware of our surroundings and take our own protective measures to ensure safety. Once again, I would work on safety, education and awareness through the City Of Belleville to provide tips on maintaining one's own safety when using roads that do not have sidewalks.
These programs could be done in conjunction with the Safety Villane

I’ve been asking council candidates what they would do to improve road safety, particularly for vulnerable road users. Two now have told me they would regulate e-bikes and scooters and not mentioned the dangerous driving I see daily of the cars and trucks that can easily kill pedestrians 🤯

It’s looking like this municipal election is going to come down to which candidates seem to be the lesser of the evils. Considering how many candidates there are there are truly slim pickings.

"Vaccines work" isn't a political statement. "Immigrants do not increase crime" isn't a political statement. "Climate change is real" isn't a political statement. "Genocide is bad" isn't a political statement. Stop neutralizing the power of facts by framing them as "politics." Reality matters.

And not all health care workers qualify as high-risk anymore (only staff in hospitals, LTC, and congregate living settings). So, as a home healthcare provider, despite working with vulnerable clients (including in some of these settings), I’ll have to wait until end of Oct to get vaxxed this year.

Absolutely brutal that the general public won’t have access to these vaccines until the end of Oct when we’re in a Covid wave and flu A has already arrived.
