Feels weird to have school start before Labour Day. I don't remember that ever happening. Also, I have a big problem with holidays that are on a different date every year. Halloween has a fixed date. Why's Easter on the second Sunday in April or some BS? I never have to look up when Canada Day is.

Northern Cardinals are my favourite yard bird. We have plenty every year. This year we have an exceptionally rare yellow cardinal. Super cool. I'm told they're a 1 in a 1 to 10 million occurrence. This is not a pic of him but that's what he looks like. I've been trying to get a pic but he's shy.

Recently I went to a well known roadhouse franchise resto and was served one of the worst poutine in my life. Like top 3 worst. I sent it back and I never do that. Still bugs me. So tonight I will make the poutine. Traditional, carefully assembled with love and IMHO it ranks a strong 8/10. Pics l8tr
