I still think we're not fully reckoning with the fact that the greatest global trauma in living memory was ~5 years ago. Almost literally every human on earth has PTSD from it and there aren't enough therapists in the universe, plus the therapists are all affected.

It's frustrating for me because I want people to be mad about AI, but mad about the ways it's used, its provenance, and all of the overt crime being done rather than making up reasons to be mad about AI. On some ethical level I should probably debunk it every time it comes up, but it's low priority.
